and the best part is...GIMP is free!! It lack the user friendlyness of its expensive counterpart but it still provide the functionality that you would expect from an image editor and it do much more.
Since it is an open source software, there are some problems i encountered while using it, I'm using windows 7 professional edition on an Acer Aspire 4520. The software take a huge start up time and sometime doesnt load at all. This is problem commonly found on windows machine but it run smoothly on a Linux machine.Therefore, for people that is looking for a cheap(its FREE!!) yet powerful image processing/editing software, GIMP is for you.
